Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big decision. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by emotions, stuck in old patterns, or unsure what to do next, you don’t have to sort it out alone. My role is to offer a safe, steady place where we can look inside together and make sense of what is happening for you.

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from York University and over 14 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults. I’ve worked with people facing painful emotions, anger, depression, anxiety, trauma, impulsive behaviours, and relationship stress. I’m known as an empathetic, non-judgmental listener. I’m careful to adjust my style to fit you and what you want from therapy.

I use a few main approaches, depending on your needs. Emotion-focused therapy helps us tune into your feelings and understand the messages they hold. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy examines the links between thoughts, feelings, and actions. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy offers practical skills for handling intense emotions and urges. I also provide trauma treatment. Underneath all of this is a belief that your own experiences and feelings can point toward the answers you are looking for. I don’t want to just tell you what to do. I want to help you decide what to do, and then support you as you follow through.

In our first session, I’ll focus on listening and really understanding what is going on for you. I may suggest some approaches we could take and share information or skills that might help. Together, we’ll decide what makes sense so you can move toward the life you want. In later sessions, we’ll start with a brief check-in about how therapy is feeling, what’s helping, and what we might adjust. You won’t have to guess whether our work together is useful.

Outside of work, I love to go dancing and antiquing. I enjoy reading fantasy novels and going to movies of all kinds. These parts of my life help me stay curious, creative, and human in the therapy room.
