Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University

Hello and welcome! I’m Nancy (she/they), a queer, non-binary human, and I am so excited that you’re here. First, I want to celebrate you for finding the courage to reach out for support – how brave!

In a constantly changing world, navigating life’s ups and downs can be downright confusing; it’s easy to become overwhelmed by even the most mundane aspects of the human experience. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re looking for someone willing to meet you where you are and travel alongside you on your healing journey.

As your therapist, I prioritize ensuring you feel seen, heard, and respected in our work. I understand how vulnerable it is to welcome someone into your internal world, which is why open-minded curiosity is at the forefront of my practice. I trust you to be the expert in your life!

Whether your focus is calming your anxiety, discovering your identity, working through a life transition, healing from intergenerational trauma, building healthy, secure relationships, developing stronger boundaries, improving your self-confidence/self-esteem, managing difficult emotions such as grief, or even understanding your place in this world, I’m confident we can collaborate on a plan that works well for YOU.

Because we each carry a unique life experience, I practice from an integrative perspective, which means I draw from various treatment approaches to best suit my clients’ evolving needs. These therapeutic approaches include harm reduction, Feminist Theory, Emotion Focused, Mindfulness, parts work, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapies.

Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy cooking up a storm in my kitchen and coming up with new dishes that are edible at least 75% of the time. I am a crafty person at heart and love bringing mental concepts into creation in unexpected and unusual ways. My two cats, Ginny and Lilly, are the rulers of this household and will likely make an appearance in video calls. Sometimes, they even have thoughts to share.

In general, I approach life from a compassionate and optimistic lens – we’re all trying our best out here! I look forward to meeting you if you think we would be a good match.
