Being a young adult is a lot. You’re expected to keep moving forward while part of you is just trying to cope. If you’re feeling anxious, low, burned out, or stuck in old patterns, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s happening now and choose small, realistic steps that fit your life.
I work with older teens (18+) and young adults. Many of the people I help are carrying worry, self-doubt, or the impact of a hard or unstable past. They’re stressed as they try to juggle school, work, and relationships. Others want support with low mood, worry, or anger that feels hard to manage.
Therapy with me is a private place to get the support you need. This is one-on-one therapy, not couples or family counselling. In our meetings, we can work on your relationships with friends, parents, and other family members. You can learn to do better with things like boundaries, communication, and feeling more grounded and confident around the people in your world.
My style is warm, steady, and practical. You don’t have to lead the conversation or have the “right” words. I’ll bring gentle structure and offer tools you can try so you can see change over time. We might notice patterns in your thoughts and reactions, build skills to handle big emotions, and explore new ways to respond when you feel overwhelmed. You’ll also fill out a very short check-in each session so we can see how you’re doing and keep your therapy on track.
I live in a small Northern Ontario city and play defence on a women’s soccer team. On the field, I stay close, watch the play, and back up my teammates with grit and determination. In our sessions, I’ll bring that same steady presence. I’ll be right there with you as you find your footing and start to trust your own strengths. If this sounds like it might help, I’d be glad to meet you.
