Being a man can come with a lot of pressure. You may feel like you’re supposed to hold everything together. Inside, you might feel anxious, low, numb, or unsure about who you are and where your life is headed. You don’t have to carry all of this on your own. Together, we can make sense of what you’re going through and look at how you want to live, not just how you “should” live.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. My doctoral work focused on systemic and integrative approaches to health and healing. I have over 20 years of meditation practice and more than 15 years of experience as a meditation teacher. I now work only with men and focus on the unique needs and questions men face.
Many of the men I see are dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, or self-esteem concerns. Others come in during major life transitions, such as changes in work, marriage or separation, parenting, loss, or aging. Some are exploring spiritual growth, identity, and deeper questions of meaning and purpose. I don’t see couples or families, but I do help men who are struggling with marriage and family concerns or transitions.
Therapy with me is collaborative, respectful, and grounded. We’ll start with what brought you here and what you hope will be different. We might look at patterns in your relationships, your history, and your day-to-day habits.
In our work, I draw on solution-focused approaches, grief and trauma models, creative therapies, and systemic ways of understanding your life. I also use mindfulness-based approaches for addiction, trauma, and mood, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Alongside this, I bring in qigong and other body-based practices to help you work with stress and emotion in a physical, practical way.
Each session, you’ll fill out a very short check-in about how you’re doing and how the session felt. You don’t have to guess whether therapy is helping. We’ll look at your feedback together and adjust our work so it stays focused on what matters most to you.
My aim is for you to feel safe, respected, and fully seen as a man in all your complexity. If you’re ready to explore your life, your relationships, and your purpose with support, I’d be honoured to work with you.
