MA in Clinical Psychology with Specialization in Postmodern Therapies – PGI

Being in relationships can be both beautiful and painful. You might feel stuck in old patterns or unsure how to set boundaries. You may feel worn down by stress, anxiety, or low mood. Maybe you are going through a loss, a big life change, or a hard season in parenting. You don’t have to sort this out alone. Together, we can slow things down and make sense of what is happening in your life and relationships.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a specialization in postmodern therapies. I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I have more than 20 years of experience working with people who are dealing with mood and anxiety problems, the impact of trauma or loss, and stress in relationships and life transitions. At The Mindfulness Clinic, I offer individual therapy, not couples or family sessions.

My approach is kind, gentle, and curious. Many people who come to see me are looking for a calm place to talk, think, and feel with someone who really listens. In our sessions, we will explore your story, your relationships, and your boundaries. We will look at how you see yourself now and how you would like your life to feel. I am open to spirituality and new-age perspectives, and we can include these in our work if they matter to you.

I draw from postmodern therapy ideas, mindfulness, body awareness, and other evidence-based approaches. In simple terms, this means we pay attention to the stories you tell about yourself, the emotions that show up, and how your body holds stress. Together, we can look for small, meaningful changes that help you feel more grounded and more yourself. Each session, you’ll also fill out a very short check-in about how you are doing and how the session felt. We will use this together so we can see what is helping and keep your therapy on track.

I have had a personal yoga and meditation practice for over 25 years. This helps me stay present and steady in the room with you. My hope is that you feel safe, respected, and gently supported as you learn more about yourself and your relationships. If you would like a quiet, thoughtful space to explore your life, I would be honoured to work with you.
