M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.

When your mind won’t slow down, it can be hard to enjoy life. You may feel anxious, low, or stressed. You might also feel pulled between different roles, cultures, or expectations. You don’t have to figure this out alone. Together, we can make sense of what you’re going through and find small, manageable steps forward.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. I have over 18 years of experience in mental health. I often work with people who are dealing with mood and anxiety problems, the impact of trauma and stress, grief and loss, physical pain, anger, and relationship difficulties.

I have a special interest in supporting people who feel caught between cultures or generations. You might think of this as second-generation issues or other cultural conflicts. If this is part of your story, we can explore it with respect and care.

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you here now. We’ll look at some of your background and what you hope will be different. We’ll also talk about my approach and decide together on your goals and how often we’ll meet.

In our work, we might use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, relaxation and imagery, and other client-centred tools. I am also a trained Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) facilitator. Each session, you’ll complete a very short check-in so we can see how you’re doing and make sure therapy is helping in ways that matter to you.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy Pilates, trying new foods, and travelling when I can. I also keep up my own mindfulness practice through podcasts, books, and trainings, so I can stay present and grounded with you in our sessions.
