MBCT Group Therapy

Our Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) classes are held online once a week for 8 weeks. There is also a half-day retreat. For a full schedule listing, refer to the tabs on the right for dates and times.

  • Each class is 2 hours long. There is also a half-day retreat on the weekend at about week 6.
  • Our groups are small. This will ensure that you get the individual attention that you need and deserve.
  • Free online video or phone consultation: before the classes start, we meet with you to help you make sure that the program will be beneficial for you.
  • Training materials, CDs, MP3s, workbooks, and online tools are free for participants.
  • The skills you learn with us will help you long after the course has ended.
  • Online or phone based MBCT individual therapy sessions are also available.

THERAPY OPTIONS:

If you want to learn mindfulness-based cognitive therapy techniques we strongly recommend that you enrol in one of our group programs. Patients who participate in a group program find the contact with other participants to be enjoyable and enriching. We also understand that the group program is not always workable because of work requirements or other reasons. If you need or would prefer to learn MBCT during individual therapy sessions, let us know. We can set that up for you.

COST:

The total cost for the group is $975, (covered by most insurance plans). This fee can be paid in 9 separate instalments.

THERE ARE 2 WINTER MBCT GROUPS – ONE ON THURSDAY EVENINGS AT 5:00pm AND ONE ON SATURDAY MORNINGS AT 11:00am

The Winter MBCT sessions on Thursday evenings will be run by Todd Tran, PhD, OT, Psychotherapist.

Todd completed his PhD at Queen’s University and has over 15 years of meditation practice.

He has extensive experience running Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) groups in private practice and hospital settings (training includes the University of Massachusetts and Brown University).

WINTER 2025 MBCT ONLINE THURSDAY EVENING VIDEO GROUP

Thursdays:
February 6th – April 10th, 2025
5pm – 7pm

There are no sessions on February 27th or March 6th 

The half-day retreat is on Saturday, March 22nd from 10am to 2pm

The Winter MBCT sessions on Saturday mornings will be run by Anna Woo M.Ed., RP. 

Anna is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience. 

In 2017 she completed her certification in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) at The Centre for Mindfulness Studies and has been teaching the MBCT program at the clinic since then.

WINTER 2025 MBCT ONLINE SATURDAY MORNING VIDEO GROUP

Saturdays:
February 1st – March 29th, 2025
11am – 1pm

The half-day retreat is on Sunday, March 16th from 9:30am to 1pm
